AUSTRALASIAN MEDICAL SERVICES COALITION

Founded by Health Professionals, for Health Professionals - because Your Voice Counts.

INTRODUCTION

Established in 2020, the Australasian Medical Services Coalition Ltd (AMSC) is a non-profit organisation with two main objectives:

1. Professional Support

The AMSC represents and supports medical practitioners and all other Medicare Australia-recognised professionals including but not limited to: National Law regulated/registered healthcare practitioners (through Ahpra), Medicare Australia-recognised health professionals, biomedical researchers, university academicians and medical administrators. Currently practising members of the above professions are cordially invited to join the AMSC family as Ordinary Members.

The AMSC strives to achieve career parity for all practitioners, in particular practitioners from and serving minority and disadvantaged groups, and has devised specific mentorship programs assisting Members with career planning in order to best serve their communities.

Our revolutionary healthcare coalition emphasises the importance of working hand-in-hand as professionals in a collaborative partnership, and aims to elevate Australian healthcare to the next level.

AMSC understands that the journey for a medical or health practitioner begins even before graduation, and continues well into retirement with a wealth of professional knowledge gained over a lifetime of practice.

Students of all medical and health disciplines are welcome to join the AMSC as Student Members, subject to eligibility criteria*. Membership for students is complimentary for the duration of their studies.

Retired medical and health professionals, overseas-trained medical and health professionals who intend to register for practice in Australia and other professionals or corporations wishing to support our initiatives are also invited to join the AMSC as Associate Members or Corporate Members, subject to eligibility criteria*.

AMSC encourages an open forum for all medical and health professionals, professional or industry associates and students to voice their thoughts and brainstorm solutions in an unprecedented health "think tank".

*For more information regarding membership eligibility, visit our Membership page or contact us here.

2. Health Promotion and Philanthropy

The AMSC strives to achieve equitable healthcare access and improve health outcomes for minority and disadvantaged groups, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, through health promotion, patient advocacy and adopting a truly integrative holistic healthcare model.

The AMSC aims to liaise with community-based organisations to reach out to communities that need it the most.
